New zire: not charging! Help

Hi,

Just bought a palm zire. When connecting the supplied power cable nothing happens (nog charging symbol or anything). After three hours it won't turn on. I also tried to connect to the usb port and charge it that way.
Is it a DOA (Death On Arrival) or am I just stupid and forgot to do something?

I have just gone through this pain, it would appear there are some faulty chargers, I was given 4 before the store gave me theirs off the display.

Ok it was the palm that was faulty. Works now with a new one.

hey i just got a palm zire yesterdae and initially i can't seem to be able to charge it too.
is a charging icon supposed to appear when i'm charging the palm?
after like 5 6 hrs of charging the battery was still very low...is there a problem with the palm or the charger?

I would imagine there would be a little lightening bolt over the battery in the upper right-hand corner to let you know whether or not it's charging. Whether it's the palm or the charger, something is faulty. I would take it back where you purchased it and exchange for a new one.
