16 shades of grey?
I have read that the Zire has 16 shades of grey, but I was playing with one at Best Buy and all of the icons and the hotsync program all seemed to be one shade. Is that normal or does the built-in apps not support grayscale?

The launcher was probably running in 1-bit mode as it does on most monochrome PalmOS devices. Also, the built in icons are 1-bit, unless they've changed them which I don't think they have.
However, applications which use the 2-bit or 4-bit mode work fine on the Zire, and are 4 or 16 shades of grey, respectively.
