Default Palm Zire listed at UK online shop

Ok, I know this isn't very interesting, but I thought I might as well tell you, incase anyone wanted to know, that a UK onlne shop (Jungle) has the Palm Zire listed. There isn't any hardware info, but it has a price of ?75, and stock is expected within 7 days.

Well, you can get an m105 at Jungle for ?72, so the Zire seems a bit overpriced!

I'd say get a backlight, 6 more Megs, and a full set of buttons and save three quid to boot.

    Doesn't the Zire hava a backlight??? :-O

Edit: I've just read the Brighthand preview, and you're right, it doesn't. It has a better contrast screen though.

    Nope.

Personally, I'm ok with that if it saves money. I'd like to see the price a little lower, though.

    Cheers

It's actually Ed Hardy's preview. Ed, formerly editor of Palm InfoCenter, has joined Brighthand as its Editor-in-Chief. Aren't we lucky!

    I'd say we certainly are!
And I look forward to reading the review of the Palm Zire (whoever it may be written by). I think it's important for some of us techno people to remember that not everyone's the same, and that not everyone wants TTs. I personally think the Zire will be pretty seccessful.....

I agree with you in spirit, but what's "TTs"?

Sorry, it's my own abbreviation for Tungsten T.
