    Exclamation Dead Zire 72

Hi everyone... So, i have this Zire 72 wich i use for about 4 years, but has been inactive since last year. I recently back to use it, i have charged it and used a few times until the "Fatal exception" error show up and messed things up. In the begining the error happened randomly and forced me to do a soft reset. But now, when i do a soft reset, the screen gets stucked in the "Palm powered" screen. If i do a hard reset, the "fatal exception" shows up again right after the "Palm powered" screen. I have tried the instructions for a warm reset, but nothing happens... no logo with bar or nothing like this... So i don't know if i'm doing the warm reset in the right way.

I'm lost here...if someone can help me, i would be very grateful.
    Thanks.

(And sorry for the bad english, i'm from Brazil.)

    Welcome to Brighthand, alanrockid.

Your English is fine. Have you installed any new applications to the device since you've been using it again? Sometimes the error message means that there is a disagreeable program causing trouble.
Experience is what you get when you thought you were getting something else.

    Unhappy Re: Dead Zire 72

The last thing i remember installing was the PocketMark v0.2.1, a benchmark software. I was in the way to overclock my system, but i do not reach the point to install anything else, the problem showed up before i go further. Also, in that case, a hard reset wouldn't be enough to back my system to normal? I've noticed something weird, also. When i do a soft reset, with the down button pressed, The screen changes to a yellow, red and blue one, like those color tests screen, and my pc shows a "connected palm device" (or something like this) message, but nothing more happens.

I have done so many hard resets, but the problem still there. When i reset the zire, the screen gets blinking in the "Palm Powered" logo and gets stucked there... If i do a hard reset, right after i press the up button in the confirmation screen, i get a fatal exception error that freezes the device and makes me reset the system, starting all over again...
