Guys help, my Zire 71's screen

    Default Guys help, my Zire 71's screen

    is not responsive to my pen .. and it can even starts drawing by it self, i have done countless hard rest and also synchronising the data .. but it is not working .. help what should i do, and the warranty had just run out a few months back ,,..

    The first thing I would try is removing the screen protector. If that doesn't help, or you don't have one installed, check very carefully, with a magnifying glass, and make sure something hasn't gotten under the edge of the case, around the edge of the screen.

    I agree with SGosnell. There must be something, maybe it is bule plastic deformation. The thing is that when something presses digitizer in particular spot - it is unable to register a second tap in any other place - that's why it is not responding to your taps. You can also try to "pull out" a blue cover under the scrren with nail a little i.e slightly detach the digitizer and blue cover.

    i used a piece of paper to go through the screen edges and the hollow between the screen and the cover .. and still it cannot work .... help

    Perhaps the digitizer cable is disconnected from the main board?

    wierd thing is after some meddling with it and letting it runs on its own .. it seems to tired down and goes back to normal .. wonder how long it will be such till it goes haywire again ....

    If those suggestions didn't work, it's probably time to send it into Palm. Make sure you have an English-Hindi dictionary handy.

    your cable must be shot.
    the one from digitzer to board.

    Open it and turn the cable around.

    Thats what i did.
    Make sure you have an English-Hindi dictionary handy
    Palm support is not in india- its in singapore.
