    Default ? about Bellagio case

I just got my Bellagio flip-top case today. First impression is a good one, but I have some questions for those of you that have it. As I close the case, there seems to be a bit of pressure applied to the top front of the handheld just above the screen by the front of the case. Once I get it snapped closed, the piping that runs along the sides appears to keep the cover clear of the screen itself. But I'm concerned about putting my extra SD cards in the spaces provided. They appear to press against the top of the handheld right at the Zire 71 logo. Could that pressure damage the cards? Does the leather loosen up fairly quickly so this won't be an issue?

Also, has anyone tried removing the small metal Bellagio logo thing from the case? How badly does it damage the leather underneath?

    Thanks.

    Tony

I got my Bellagio case today and have the same question ...

What do you think about the thickness? It sure makes it bigger, although the Z71 is no petite to begin with. I'll probably get used to it. I wonder if the Sena case makes it noticeably thinner? Bellagio sure uses nice materials.

I have had the bellagio case for several week and I'm thrilled with it. No problem fitting an SD card in the slot, althought the first time you put it in is difficult, you just have to work it in and out a few times. No damage to the card or the unit.

The thickness is no more than many of the other cases, but the protection and ease of use with the bellagio case I think is superior

Well... as I just discovered, it IS about 9mm or 5/16" thicker than the Sena, and presumeably, the E&B.

I agree that it is a GREAT case, but it IS too thick for me.

Mine is still available for sale- I have not called for the return authorization yet, so it is $35 including shipping if interested. I'll toss in a 'stick pen'-style stylus! Contact me at madkins007@cox.net if interested.

The Bellagio is thicker than I thought it would be. But it is also nice and looks like it will protect the Z very well. That is something I need because I use it everywhere, and I get the dropsies sometimes. It has a good, snug fit and the best thing is that there is no obstruction to the buttons or the screen. That and I can sync while in the case.

We are talking about a 1/4" here

I don't understand how anyone can physically tell the difference of a 1/4"

No matter how youi carry the case (pants or shirt pocket, belt clip, or in a breifcase), you can't convince me that 1/4" extra thickness compared to another case is anything that can be noticed as a detriment

    Hey All,

I keep reading the posts on the bellagio case and have mine in transit on it's way to me. My question is: How long does shipping take? On estimate. I'm in Canada on the US border (Northern Ontario, Northern Michigan). My case was ordered on the 7th or 8th (I can't remember off hand). It still isn't in yet as of 445 PM EST on Tues Aug 19. Any ideas how much longer I need to hold out?

I've had my Bellagio case for a few days now, and I must say my favorite feature is the stand. I can prop it up on a desk or table and read Avantgo, check Vindigo or anything else. This really is a nice feature that I think they should highlight more - I don't think the Sena case has this. It will be perfect for the plane as I get sick of holding a palm but if you lay it flat on the tray table you can't see it. With the stand, your hands are free. Good job Bellagio!

After a week of using my Bellagio case I am quite happy with it. I'm still a bit reluctant to put my extra SD cards in it though. The only other issue I have is not so much with the case but with the Zire itself. Before using this case I really didn't have a problem that there was no charging indicator light on the unit. Now I'm always turning it on while it's on the cradle to make sure it's seated properly and charging. An idicator light would be really helpful now.

    irahand-

I trie to make it clear that the difference might not matter to everyone. It DOES matter to me. The Bellagio barely fits in my shirt pockets (which does not predict what it will do in yours) and I do notice it in my pants pockets. It may all be psychosomatic, but it IS there!
