How does DateBook5 compare to Beyond Contacts by dataviz as an upgrade to datebook and the todo list? Im looking for something simple, but with a few more features than datebook (like color, icons, different fonts, etc). Thanks.

I think this depends on your fondness for Outlook. Beyond Contacts was designed to make your palm date book look and feel more like outlook, and handle some email functionality.

DateBk5, on the other hand, was designed to provide much greater functionality than the built-in datebook, but retain much of the same feel. It communicates with other apps like the address book and to-do list, but doesn't include email handling functionality.

I have never liked Outlook, and I don't need email integration, so I use DateBk5 and I like it very much. It is a rather complex application, but the support is first-rate. You may want to consider an earlier version, like DateBk4, which is still sold and supported. It will do all you are looking for and then some for an economical cost.

I agree! I use Datebak 5 and I am very pleased with it. I do alot of scheduling and it handles all my needs. I, too, am not fond of Outlook. Then again, this is just my personal opinion.
