    Smile Zire71 usb connected modification

    this is a solution for Zire71..if u have troubles from flexy cable..so u can chance with USB connected one

    Hello mohamad, welcome to Brighthand!

    Interesting mod... I see you completely removed the UC and its flat cable. Does your Z71 still slide open to take pictures, or was this functionality lost in the mod? I remember another member did a similar mod and I think he had to take pics with the program, not the slider button.

    Hello mohamad -

    Nice mod. I've been thinking about doing something similar. I can't see, from your second picture, how you are actually interfacing the mini USB jack with the universal connector socket. Did you solder to the socket's pins at the motherboard or is there something slipped into the socket that you soldered to?

    I was thinking about soldering to the motherboard connection but those pins are small with not much room between each one.

    Yes,,i soldering that USB con to the MBoard..and jumper with small wire to that pins..it works for me til now..i used that Zire for 6 years already..
