Connect to internet?

In the Network section that is in the prefererces it seems as if there is a way to connect to the internet using the cable, can this be done? Is this even what I think it is? Can someone tell be how this can be done or even if this is possible? I can be pretty clueless about tech stuff so the more dumbed-down the explanation the better

Hello,

There are two possible ways to connect to the internet with your Zire 31.

First and the easiest but not free, is to get the program called Softick PPP.

PPP is a program thats allows you to connect your Zire with the USB cable with your high speeed connection (NO DIAL UP)

Second, is diffcult. You gonna need a cell phone, data plan, possible cable or you can use the IR, its depends on the phone.

I've read the message of the womwn that was asking if you can surf the internet with her zire 31, you answered her by saying that ppp is an application that allows you to connect to your High speed internet via your pc. May you give me some more explanation on that?

Download PPP.
Read the instructions.
Install PPP.
Setup PPP, per the instructions.
Surf the net.
