Thread: Zire 21 should have been color!

Zire 21 should have been color!
Zire 21 should have had a color screen. Otherwise, it's not really an improvement over the original Zire. Agree or disagree?

Then I *would* upgrade... no doubt about it.

If the Zire 21 was colour then this would impact on the sales of the 71.
Also the whole idea of the Zire ans Zire 21 is that it is a basic entry level PDA. Colour simply isn't needed it works fine with out it!

If you really want a color handheld for cheap, either find a used m130 or get the Tungsten E.
The zire 21 is merely an inexpensive handheld with a good processor. While the lack of backlight is somewhat still dissappointing, palm has released some lighted stylii to make up for it.I am a clutz... I am the terror of PDAs everywhere.

Well, for *me* anyway, the Zire and the Zire 21 have the best *design sense* of *any* Palm. Looking at it from that angle, the Zire and 21 are the "advanced" Palms!
The M130 is *incredibly* dopey-looking.
The *expensive* Zire 71 is metal-plated (ycch) and heavy.
Likewise the Tungsten E: pretty cool, but still looking like it came out of come *corporate* factory.
The Zires are the most "artistic" of the lot, and there has been a *lot* of design thinking and promotion, especially, going into them. Just a look at the "main" Palm store cite will attest to that. The Zires have the "snazziest" promo.
They got a great designer for the "entry" Palm Zire. It has a great look, it's small, light, hip...
So, why not make it even better!

Just like the m100-series.Originally posted by JPehrson

Why do some people say you can kill two birds with one stone when it\'s hard enough killing one bird with two stones?

Dissing the m100 series I see? Look buster, you could throw them against a wall and not even scratch the screen. They are VERY sturdy little devices.

But oh well. Looks like the zires are replacing them. They shall be greatly missed.I am a clutz... I am the terror of PDAs everywhere.

Upon reflection
I don't want to "diss" the little Palms. They are probably somebody's best friend!
