Fresh outta the joint and picked up a new Vista machine and an HTC Touch.

I like it so far but every time I plug it into my rig, every time I change something on the device while it's plugged into my rig, everytime I look at it the wrong way while it's plugged in it starts to sync.

Back in tha hood with my old XP machine I was able to use ActiveSync to tell it to only sync when I tell it too. (Manually, yo.) Not automatically when I plug it in.

Is there a way to do this using Windows Mobile Device Center?

ActiveSync has settings that allow for control over automatic or manual sync, with user-definable time increments. It sounds like your device is set to constantly sync anytime data is changed, Mack Daddy.

I don't know if Vista still provides these options. If it doesn't then your best bet might be to get an XP/ActiveSync machine (or set one up on a multiboot partition).

It would be a pain to have to use XP for nothing other than syncing. But I'll keep it in mind if I don't figure this one out.
