What Verizon phone could be used as Wireless 3G hospot for Ipod Touch
I've read in a few places that some of the windows mobile phones can be used as a mobile hotspot and using bluetooth could be used to bridge the 3G connection to a Ipod touch. Does anyone have a way to do this or know of a phone on Verizon that can do this currently? I'm fed up with waiting for Iphone on Verizon and this would solve my issue.
Why do I need this: I use my Ipod Touch nonstop all day long but many things I would like to access get blocked because I work for a hospital system. The wifi we have for the public is really slow and sometimes my email won't even work. If I could bridge the 3G this would essentially give me what I want.
I've already got some instructions on how to do it with some of the nokia phones and some programs that allow this. There might be an android app that makes this possible but I just haven't seen it yet searching online. What is the best way to do this?
Thanks

I'm interested in this as well. From what I understand, there is an app/program for WinMo phones (called PDAnet) that will turn your phone into a WiFi hotspot like a MiFi. I don't have specific knowledge of it working on a Verizon model (like the Touch Pro2) though.

The Palm Pre Plus (and I think also the Pixi Plus) can do it, although this feature is very expensive.

With some mild hackery the Droid can do it as well.

I've used WMWifiRouter on my Omnia i910 successfully.

I love how Verizon his hyping the 5-point Hot Spot function on the Pre Plus, without noting how much extra a month it costs.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm now really considering a nexus one since I hear that it might be hitting the street for verizon March 23rd. If it does get released I am going to get it.
I heard that nexus one may be sold directly from Google as an unlocked cdma phone. This could potentially be huge. We will see if the rumor pans out but for the moment its the only viable option I can see that has me interested.
