I have an old Palm V and the original cradle that came w/it. I have it hooked up to a PC at work. (serial port)

I will be getting a new IBOOK and want to be able to sync my Palm to it. I'll download & install the latest MAC for Palm desktop. I think I'll need to get a "serial port to USB" connector? http://store.palmone.com/product/in...rentPage=family
I found this in the Palm store. Will this work for me? Are there less expensive ones to be purchased elsewhere?

Or, is there a way to sync my Palm V to my new Ibook w/out using the cradle? Are there any other connectors that would work so that I don't have to bring my cradle home from work? Can I buy a 2nd Palm V cradle (I don't see this at the Palm store). I have seen a USB charger/sync cable on the Targus site, but it doesn't say compatible w/Palm V.

And finally - I don't know too much about "drivers" Will I need to download new ones for a connector?! Or are drivers part of what will come w/the Palm Desktop for Mac when I download & install that?!
