Cannot Hotsync Palm V with Dell D600 and Outlook 2003
Have been hot synching for over a year on home desktop configuration between Palm V and Palm desktop. Now using Dell Lattitude D600 laptop with Outlook 2003 as primary calendar and contacts. Purchased and installed latest Pocketmirror 3.1.6 over upgraded Palm desktop 4.1; connected cradle to USB port, played around with the speeds of transfer, switched port connections and still get " The connection...cannot be established" when I try to hot sync. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello astree2456.
Did you download and install the latest serial to USB adaptor driver from the vendor's website? Remember, the Palm V series doesn't support USB, and a special driver will be required to use the V series unit connected to a USB port.connected cradle to USB port
Also, even though you are connecting to a physical USB port, you still need to have the HotSync Manager set to 'Local Serial', and the COM port set to the serial port created by the serial to USB adaptor driver.
