PalmV doesn't respond to stylus tapping properly

I have an aol e-mail program and a dial up modem for my Palm V . I got the program loaded onto the Palm. Then it was very hard to get the aol access numbers onto it because the screen doesn't respond to stylus tapping in the way it should. Since I could get the modem to dial into aol for the access numbers I know the modem works and the program was loaded properly, although it still isn't set up completely.

How can I fix it? I read some threads about a new digitalizer, but do not know if that is the trouble...Help please.

Hello barbarakoltuv.

I would try downloading and installing DigiFix . It should address your issues as long as the digitizer is only "drifting" and headed to a hardware failure.

I have downloaded digifix and will try to fix the Palm with it. Last night I saw a digizer on ebay for $8....found seller and read INSTRUCTIONS for replacing digitzer on Palm. O mi GOD...I could never do it. But your fix may work. Will let you know. Thanks for the help. b

Dear Allen. Couldn't sleep till I tried to use digifix. It worked instanly and perfectly. Within seconds I had aol mail up and running on the little Palm V. Thank you...thank you!
