Palm V not working after hotsync
I just bought a used Palm V for use while Geocaching. I am having a really weird problem with it. After I hotsync the unit, the touch screen does not want to work. I turn the unit on and I get the registration reminder screen. Tapping the home icon, or any other icon does nothing. Pressing the other four buttons on the bottom will allow different applications to appear on the unit (scheduler, address book, etc), but I can't do anything with them. Doing a "major" reset cures the problem, but of course I lose all my data and applications I just loaded. My other Palm V works fine using the same cradle.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try to get this worked out?

Welcome to Brighthand Scooter38401.
Your symptoms describe what I often refer to as a screen protector wedgie. Anything stuck between the screen and the case bezel causes phantom screen taps and overrides any user input.
Have you cleaned around the edges of the screen under the case bezel or removed the screen protector (if you are using one)?DT Lives in SFO...away from flying objects.
