what's the diff?

Could someone please let me know what the differance between the palm 5x and the the palm 5 are? I'm looking to buy one and can't find out what the diff is.

The Palm V has 2mb of RAM while the Vx has 8mb of RAM. Basically that means that you can store more data and programs on the Palm Vx.

The Palm V should cost you a little under $100 and the Palm Vx should be between $120-$180 or so for a used model.

Niether model is easily upgradable, however some companies can have you mail the PDA to them so that they can solder more memory to the motherboard of the unit.

Also if you can hold off a couple of weeks we expect the two new Palm models to disrupt the market pricing. In theory, the 515 should make the remaining 515s cheap which should press down the price of the 505s which will make the V's cheaper.

Mind you, Palm are trying their best to not have this happen, so maybe it won't
