Serial number

I am trying to reinstall the original palm sw that came with it (as newer palm stuff screws up how my corporate email works) and it is asking for my serial number.

Unfortunately palm seemed to use magic ink and half the number has worn off. Any ideas on how to get it or another number that will work?

What exactly are you trying to install that needs a serial number??

The Palm's serial number can be found from the application display. Press Menu > Info... > Version and the field called 'ID:' will be the 12 digit serial number (ignore the last letter/number)

As in my original post I was trying to install the PC SW that came with it!

However it went through my mind that it was a bit odd so I entered a few random characters. Surprisingly it went through.

Just revived it, planning on buying the GPS attachment as it seems to be a good alternative to a full blown GPS unit. Any body had any experiences with it?
