Default Any way to automate Sunrise/Plucker wirelessly?

    Automated Sunrise/Plucker downloads?

I use Sunrise to download web pages on my PC. Then I have to sync to my T3 to get the pages to view within Plucker.

What I'd like to do, is get the pages to the T3 by synching wirelessly. But I don't want to have to sync everything (like Outlook, Pocket Quicken, Bonsai, etc). To do that, I would have to set my conduits to only sync the sunrise files, which becomes a hassle to do that each time.

Is there an easier way to do all of this, without having to go through so many steps each time? I'd love to be able to do what I do with Yanoff, which is connect wirelessly direct to the net, grab all of the updates, and get off. All with minimal interaction on my part.

I'm not aware of any seamless automated solution and think you have an intriguing idea for an enhancement.

If you know where Sunrise puts the distilled .pdbs on your computer, perhaps VS File Transfer could do the trick. Alternately, if you have a card reader, I don't see any reason why you couldn't grab the updates from your computer and stick them in the Plucker folder on the card. Both of these would require a bit of effort on your part.

Have you considered recommending this to the developer? I am aware that he has ceased development of Sunrise and is now working on SunriseXT. He's usually responsive to posts in the Sunrise threads over at mobileread.com.

Thanks for that reminder. Bypassing the hotsync is probably the best way since wifi is not very good on the T3. Since the wifi card uses the one card slot, and the plucker files are on my sd card, using both is not possible. I was using it by copying to ram disk first, and then copying to sd card when reinserted. Not a very elegant approach.

So, I think transferring directly to the card using a card reader or card export II is what I will do.
