Default T-3, Agendus, Bluetooth and my Nokia 6255i...

    Hey all,

I recently purchased a Nokia 6255 Bluetooth enabled phone. My hope was to be able to use it together with my T-3 for some fun. I can use it to take photo's and BT them over to the T-3 and viewed with Resco Viewer. So far that's about it.

WHile workinmg in Agendus it would be nice to just poke the "dial Contact" option and fire up the phone. I can't seem to them to jive, any words?

I have the same Nokia 6255i and have the same problem with my Tungsten T5. As of now, no drivers to use the dialing function or internet connection. When I look at the list of drivers for Nokia (and other phones) these are OLD phones. Has anyone heard of any initiative on the part of Palm to update the list of drivers for newer phones?

I was using a 6255i paired with a T3 for a few months (have since moved to a Treo 650). It was a pretty good combination.

At any rate, as jgn4553 alluded to, the "dial contact" function does not work with a T3/6255i pairing. Unfortunately, Palm has done very little to support Bluetooth connections to CDMA phones. In addition to the "Dial Contact" function not working, you are also unable to use the SMS application on the T3. There's no word when - or even if - Palm will release new phone drivers.

On the bright side, you've already discovered that you can send pictures taken on your 6255i over to the T3 to view the pictures on a bigger screen. In addition, you can use the Bluetooth connection to dial-up from the T3 (going through the 6255i) and use Web Pro to browse the internet. Works with VersaMail as well. Finally, when you get a new contact in your T3 Contacts (and want that information on the 6255i as well), just send that record via Bluetooth or Infrared to the 6255i, and it'll be accepted into the phone. That can save quite a bit of time by avoiding manually entering the same contact into both the T3 and the 6255i.

So, while it's far from perfect, the combination still is pretty good.
