I tried it yesterday. Set voltage to 3.68 on T3. Did go down to that voltage, but warning poppped up every 5 minutes once it had reached the standard warning level of 3.78v. So wasn't a lot of use. Is this was happened to others?

I will give this a try as well this weekend.
Set the cut-off at 3.64V but I ALSO applied PXA clocker to set the system speed down to 200 MHz for all apps except some things I really need to run at full speed (Aeroplayer, TCPMP, ...)
I am curious to see how long I can get now from my T3.5
I will use the basic test procedure as described by snickersmd in the T3.5 thread (with some modification to have Fullspeed and PXA Clocker able to function).Digital since 1980, handheld since 2001

T|E Test
I will conduct a full test of the program this weekend. I installed it yesterday, and it does not give me any issues! I was happy about that.
I will run a full comparrison test (with and without "fullpower") to see if I gain a number of hours.
I will try to post me results Monday."I have held the hand of a devil

Hold on guys. Soon ( in 5-7 hours) i will give you the results of test that i started yestarday. I first discharged T3 and TE w/o "full power", Than fully recharged, now i put the minimal allowed voltage (3.2v) - to test the limits of course. Soon you will know hom much gain there is, and when data loss occures (if any).
Also i'm monitoring voltage over time, so i will know how it readjusts readings.
But my feeling is good already
I'm running it for 2hours 43min, and it's on 83% or 3.98v (at maximum brightness).Palm Pro->Palm VX-> Zire71-> T3(+3600mah + 5400mah=9000mah battery)

LoLTried it on my LD, no go, it said my OS was not new enough?
.
BTW, i heard in another forum, that LD discharges till 3.64v. Is that true?
Did finally P1 realized thier mistakes with T series and fixed them in LD?Palm Pro->Palm VX-> Zire71-> T3(+3600mah + 5400mah=9000mah battery)

junglemike,
As a battery concerned, myself, I have researched a lot, like you. Didn't do any modifications like you did, but at least I found a palmtop that has enough battery life for me, the T5.
Like you said, your PalmVx had a 4000mV maximum voltage, and that made the battery last much more. It generates less stress in the cells, thus prolonging its life.
Since the T5, Treo650 and now the LifeDrive all have NVFS memory, the voltage can drop lower, without fear of losing data.
The T5 battery's maximum voltage is 4000mV, and the Critical Threshold is 3610mV, as you can see in the screenshot.
I think Ed Colligan has something to do with this... he was one of Palm Inc, founders and one of the palmtop inventors. The old good Vx had this characteristics.
Full Power doesn't work on Garnet, just Palm OS 5.2.2 and below. Unfortunately...
I think the T5 battery will last more because of the maximum voltage, but I wonder how much the battery would last if it could reach 4200mV. I think it would last 9 hours or more.

No much. Between 4.0 and 4.2 there is very tiny gain see graphs of various li-ion discharge curve here:

Maybe some 3-5%.
Ahh, my test is still running. 6 hours 5 mins, ans still 3.80v, or 65% !!
I hope it will die soon
Coz in 3-4 hours i'll go to sleep.

JM: when you're below 3.78, let us know if your T3 throws a low battery warning. If it doesn't change, that should happen any minute now...
I'm still on the leading edge with my HTC Fuze.
