    Question GPS for Tungsten T5

I am thinking of purchasing Tungsten T5 and use the GPS system from my palmOne? Zire? 72 GPS Navigation Pak on it. According to Palm website, this system works on T3. Does anyone know if the GPS system works with T5? Thanks.

It should. It's obviously bluetooth enabled, or it wouldn't work on the 72, and bluetooth is the only way to connect to the T5 at the moment. But I wouldn't guarantee anything with the T5.

    Default Mapopolis

Because of the T5 memory and archetecture differences it will not necessarily work. Check the TomTom page for compatibility. I know the NAVMAN system is T3 and 72 compatible, but not T5.

Mapopolis is one that is compatible with the T5, I have been using it. Just put the maps on the SD card. The viewer will work with many different GPS recievers. You can download a viewer and sample map for free to check it out and judge for yourself.

GpsPasSion has a forum and reviews of various mouse and bluetooth GPS devices along with a number of viewers.

Check the TomTom web site. I believe that there is an update that handles the T5. if you already have the software, you don't want to buy another.

Yes TomTom has come out with a version that is compatible with the T5. I have been using the Palm GPS w/ TomTom since Oct. Dec they came out with the upgrade for the T5. The real difference came with the installation. Before it would only install to the main memory. Then you could TRY to move it to a card, but it didn't always work. Now it works fine. I love it.
