T3 - database advice?

palm newbie here. is there is an easy database program that is simple to use that allows user defined entries e.g. restaurants, kids books, wine, cafes, wifi hotspots. i found something from thinkDB but it makes zero intuitive sense (to me at least!). If you're familiar with the venerable HP200LX, I'd like a db program like that. Wishful thinking perhaps, appreciate any suggestions...

fwiw, thinkdb 2.0 is the version i tried. understood it's user configurable, i just couldn't figure it out...tom

Welcome to Brighthand tomtenpalm.

I'm not familiar with the database you're referring to, but handango.com has a free giveaway this week of MobileDB (until tomorrow I think) which has a desktop component and can import comma delimited files. I use it for a variety of lists and list-oriented tasks that have simple inputs and have also downloaded a few dbs others have created. There's also Handyshopper at freewarepalm.com. Check them both out and see if either meet your needs.

I have used numerous of the palm dbases. MobileDB is pretty good, but my all time fav is JFile. Also allows CSV import and export.
