T3 in TT or T2 body?
Would this be possible? Could someone take the guts of a T3 and cram 'em into a TT or T2? The button layout is much better on the earlier Ts, but the T3 screen is unbeatable.

I too think the T1/T2 button layout is much better than the T3's. Several times I have drooled on a friend's T3, thinking "what if I could replace the slider with that of the T2?". Now that would be interesting. I don't think you can cram the T3's gutsin the T2's case (the motherboards have different form factor, the T3's is longer), but maybe the slider could be replaced? I think you will have to file or cut the slider's top 3 or so mm to be able to access the DIA.
Sadly, my friend never let me try that.
Hopefully, someone who owns both models (and whose T2 is RIP) may want to give it a try...raspabalsa

Cool idea, but aren't the screen lengths different? I was under that impression because there are separate screen protectors for the T3. I think it's the blue menu bar at the bottom that makes the difference. I think it would require an extensive mod that would turn out some kind of frankenstein device. On the other hand, if someone could mold a new top plate for the slider with a new button layout, and perhaps use the button mechanism from an earlier T, it wouldn't look so bad.
Just dreaming
