Hmm -only one picture pr posting.....

Here is the 850MB file info....
I'm looking to your first posted image:
xmm. Frame rate is OK - ~12fps.
Resolution is OK, (if you got T3)
But look at the video size: 772113k - it means 770mb??? .
Look carefully in the guide - in the stage where yo specify the second pass size , here:
The file size will be according to what you write here, No way xvid can be mistaken more that 100k. The filesize will be EXACTLY what you write here, in my case 150mb. Just make sure you followed the guide, without shortcuts, By the way, as i said, only the initial setup is a bit complicated, once you've done one movie - it will take you 2 min to start another.

Well, i still don't understand what for is the second picture, it seems to be just a source file info.

and finally the audio stream info for the dual audio file...
Well, it's really a rear thing to have 2 audio streams, you just need to disable one of the streams by "disable button" . To find out what stream to choose - just put a "speaker" iicon near any chousen stream than click ok, and try to play the movie - it will play the audio stream that you've chosen. So disable the unneded stream ,and compress the other , as specified in the guide.
    Willing to see a results.

    jorang..

you are using 1197kps data rate for the video stream! this is far too high..try 150 or something, this will make a big difference

Thanks for your help. It has been most useful..

I have a question although - why do you recommend the resoultion 480x256 for TT3. This would not utilize the widescreen mode, or what.....

Maybe your recommendation isn't meant for general use, but related to this particular Shrek2 file you use as an example?

According to the adviced BitRateCalc the resolution should be 480x272 (se attached picture...)

    Any comments junglemike?

I don't recommend anything on Y-resolution - it just get's calcualted from X-res. Look at my example in the gudie, when x-res resize to 480 - y-res gets, - 253 pixels. The closest correct value - 256.
But if in your case, the original resolution is different - you will get different Y-res, it really doesn't matter. Just try to keep the aspect ratio, or your video will be stretched.

SoSII - where are the settings regarding data rate located in VirtualDubMod?

Thumbs down Fatal alerts playing video on TT3....

    Hello again

I'm experiencing Fatal alerts with all the files I have converted myselves. The examples Junglemike posted works fine.

I'm running MMPlayer v0.2.11, and I have tried running MMplayer in ROM, and in Flash using JackFlash - all the same disappointing result.

My card is a Kingston 256MB (rebranded Toshiba)

Pls find attached the file info for a one of the files which doesn't work. The file plays well on my PC.....

(edit - forgot to tell that I'm overclocking the MMPlayer to 600 - tried both Ligthspeed and PXAClocker....)

If you followed the guide - you should deal with data reate (aka bitrate) - When saving the second pass- you just have to choose the desired size,
when doing one-pass encode - you have to choose a bitrate, i would suggest 100-400kbps would be good for T3

Well, notheing wron can be seen from file information, apart from strangely low 12000hz frequency and especially stereo, such frequency sound like crap, i would suggest doubling the freguency and bitrate 20khz 32kbps and doing mono instead of stereo. Imho it is much better , bth, all my files are mono. If you used same programs as in the guide, and foolowed the guide - you should receive same files. So it is strange that you have crashes. For my zire earlier versions , as i stated in guide work better, 0.2.8 and 0.2.6, But afaik you have T3 - so i don't know what's best for t3 - never tried.

    Thumbs down

I've now tried to install an earlier version of the MMPlayer - sadly bringing the same result. The earlier version of the MMPlayer (v 0.2.8) didn't support screen rotate so I could not watch the movie in landscape mode...

Since you guys is not reporting any system crashes I assume this is related to my device only - possibly a conflict with some other applications I have installed on my device....

So - I've desided to buy myselves a portable DVDplayer (since I usually make DVD's of my downloaded DivX/Xvid...)

Thanks anyway - this guide made me try this, but sadly I'm not willing to spend the required amount of time to bring this "up to functional" for me - summer as it is...

    Have a nice summer...!
