    Question Activating Doc's to Go

    Hi,

After downloading and installing the Doc's to Go upgarde per Palm instructions and entering the activating code everything work great. Then a few days later I downloaded and installed the Palm ROM upgrade/fix (again per Palm instructions) and that seems to work out well too. Until I tried using Doc's to Go, now it asking me to enter the activation code after every HotSync. After entering the activation code a message say the software has now been activated. Is there some way to stop this from happening?

    Thanks,

    Craig

It sounds like your System conduit may be incorrectly set. Right click the Hotsync Manager icon in your program tray, choose Custom, highlight the System conduit and click change: make sure that it's HotSync action is "Handheld overwrites desktop" and is marked as the default.

    Hi Bill,

Think the problem is fixed. After trying all the setting changes I could find with no luck, I broke down and called DataVis. Boy, what a surprise for the first time in a long while, a tech that really knew what she was doing. She said the problem most likey started because I install Doc's to Go first then did the Palm ROM update, but I'm not the only one that has done it that way. Anyway, she had me unistall the program from the T3 only set the Documents to Go desktop to "desktop overwrites handheld" and then do a HotSync. Great, looks like everything works just the way it should with no loss of any data.

Now if I could just get a handle on what conduits are and where to find them? Guess, I'll save that for the next thread.

    Thanks,

    Craig
