Default Turn T3 into a phone

I was wondering if there was a sled/sdio device that could turn my T3 into a phone. To me that would be the ultimate palm. It would probably need a battery built into it, and increase its bulk.

    any ideas?

    Thanks

    That's a shame.

Has anybody tried using a nokia 6600 with the T3 yet.

As far as I'm aware palm has not released any drivers for it yet

Default Ahhh, but there is, sort of......

    There is the Carpediem at:

    http://www.hotsync.com.hk/carpediem.htm

It doesn't look like it can be purchased yet. It also looks like it might not work on US GSM networks, yet?????

There may be more but I cannot find any yet.

Thanks for that. It sounds just like my spec. above.

As I'm in the UK, I will be able to use it. I'm trying to find out how fast access to the internet would be. I can not remember how fast V42 & V42bis are, other than slower than my ADSL!

Unfortunatly there website says there is no online ordering yet, you may be able to email them.

To answer your question I believe that the transfer rate for GSM is about 14.4Kbps.

    Hope that helps,

If you are waiting for a product from Carpediem, you will be waiting in the same line as people for Duke Nukem Forever and the Sandisk SD/Wifi card. They made the ingenious Guyver that allows you to use a pcmcia card in a sled for palm devices, but they only offered it to OEMs. Like many startup electronics firms they have great ideas but no financial courage or support to get these devices out.

Unfortunately the Guyver only supported the original Tungsten|T with OS 5, and not OS 5.2 devices. It's a shame, as I would've gotten one for my T2/3. However, there was at least one person here who purchased the Guyver and wasn't an OEM. They've obviously changed their selling practice since then.
