How to Hide Quick Tour --
Hi all
Thought I would share something with ya I found on my journeys --
You have to have FileZ to do this --
1-go to Filez, check the ROM checkbox, find TatooArtist, and copy it to the SD small file 5kb in size (to copy to card just check the file then tap on FileZ in top left to get drop down menu for copy)
2-copy back from the SD card to the Palm
3-select the TatooArtist in RAM, tap details,
4-change the name to "Quick Tour" and the creator to "QKTR"
tap the "Attribute" Tab, check the Hidden Checkbox, tap save
5-Quick tour is invisible.
Only drawback is after a hard reset you will need to do it again --
Enjoy

Why go to that trouble? You can just delete Quick Tour with a file manager and be done with it.

Quick Tour is in ROM (not RAM) and cannot be deleted until Brayder Technologies updates JackSprat and JackFlash to support the T3.

Easy exercise for the end user... just go into FileZ/McFile/whatever, and add up the sizes of all the files in ROM you want to delete (like the extra language localization files).Originally posted by BH_T3

JackFLASH (if ever released) and memory in T3
My question was about memory which might be made available by JackFLASH, not JackSPRAT, if Brayder ever release JackFLASH for the T3. I'm afraid I've never been courageous enough to use JackSPRAT.Originally posted by Ben S

I was asking how much FlashROM JackFLASH would make available. This does not depend on what programs Palm has placed in the ROM but on how much space is still left free, not currently being used by the "built-in" applications, languages, etc.SkwrHdz

QuickTour may be in ROM in the T3, but on the Z71 it's in RAM, and has long been gone from mine.
I use FileProg as a file manager, and it's the best free one I've seen, far better than Filez.Regards,

BTW, you can use any app that is small enough not to bother you... you're not forced to use TatooArtist. I chose it cuz it was in ROM, was little, and DID nothing I could fathom
It's a useful trick if you don't want to buy an app to hide another, especially if the only happ yu want to hide id quickTour (I wonder wy they put that thing in ROM anyway??)
