    Question T3 T2 Suggestion?

Hi everyone. I'm going to be purchasing a Palm this winter, most likely asking for it for Christmas. Would you all suggest the T2 or the new T3?

The T3 by all means. It's the greatest PDA ever.

Any specific reasons why it's the greatest PDA ever?

It has the fastest processor currently available, it has the highest resolution in its screen currently available and it has a lot of memory. Also, new system sounds, new GUI and a lot of small improvements is highly welcome.

And of course, all this in a very neat size.
    Sincerely,

But the T3 apparently has only a three hour battery life!

I have the same problem but I am thinking T2 or UX50?
Psion 3, Psion 3a, Psion 5, Rex 5, Palm 3, Palm V, Palm Vx, Psion 5mx, Ipaq 3630, Tungsten T, Tungsten T2, C500 smartphone, imate Jam, Palm TX?

    Smile T3 vs T2

I would wait at least 3 months to allow Palm to work out any bugs. Tungsten T had some major flaws at first My T2 works OK so far.
T3 would be the better buy if you can get it for less than $350.

I am waiting for my, "Tungsten Z", my virutal last Tungsten T.
This would be a Tungsten T 3 with an interchangeable battery,
integrated bluetooth AND WiFi G, 128MB on board memory, stereo earphones,
and Premier Version of Docs to Go along with a slim keyboard utility plus all the other goodies T3 has.

I still wonder if someone is going to leak information about a "T4" as was leaked about the T3 this spring.

Good luck on your PDA hunt for Tungsten Terminator.

The T3 has just been released and you want information about the T4. You're never going to get a PDA, do you realize that?

I get about 3 hours of life on my TT using on screen apps, not listening to music - and that's fine (about 5 hours just listening to music). So managing the time on the T3 is what it takes, just as is always the case. As someone mentioned that they have a 4 hour class in which they use the TT to take notes and that 3 hours power would not suffice, I would guess that if you turned down the backlight to the lowest, this would be fine, because you're typing away taking notes and not really viewing, and it would last 4 hours. Need to buy and test, and return if it doesn't cut it.

Regarding the UX50, I don't like it at all. The screen is relatively small compared to the T3, and the tactile feel of the keys is not there. And for $699 - it is no value at all.

I agree the UX50 is ridiculously expensive.

You might be right about the keyboard, I haven't seen it yet.

If the Tungsten E had the PUC I think I'd go that way and wait for POS6 before splashing any big bucks. As it is I don't know.

The problem is that my wife and I need to start sharing calendars which means that we need to buy a Palm now!

I have the TT which I will pass to her. I'm just not sure which way to go.
