way to install .txt files to handheld?

when i try to instaill .txt files, hot synch manager will only allow them to be installed on the card rather than the handheld. is there a way around this? thanks

Txt files are not native to the Palm OS and therefore cannot be hotsynched to RAM. One option is to convert the txt file to a PBD file which can be hotsynched. There are a number of freeware programs that can do this. I have used DocInOut.

Another option (Mac friendly) would be to install and use CF2DOC; install the text files to your card and use CF2DOC to convert them to Palm Doc.

...PorDiBle for my Mac OS X converting-.txt-to-.pdb needs. Works flawlessly, especially for Project Gutenberg public domain literature.
