Question GPS software other than Mapopolis and Compass?

    Hi all,

Looking for some interesting GPS software to play with on the T|T, I already purchased a year subscription to Mapopolis, and I have tried Compass, which is nice, although kind of pointless for my needs.

Is there anything that would display nicer looking maps without having to scan in maps and attempt to callibrate them etc?

I just want something that looks nice, and possibly makes sounds when you get near things, maybe direction arrows that point where you're driving?

    Any ideas?

Look at this. Not quite your requirements but a different map

Looks nice, but I'm in the UK, so not much use unless I come to the USA on vacation

    This looks glorious.

Navtech maps, bluetooth support, native ARM, 320x320 etc

Demo of a small part of London is available.

?100 may be a bit steep after you've just paid for Mapopolis, though.

Looks a bit expensive. TomTom will produce a Palm OS5 version eventually. It will cost about $50 I Guess and has the same coverage as digi-map. But the current version simply crashes on OS5!!!

You can also look at TRIPPILOT from the same people who make Compass. You need a phone connection. Simply give your starting point and destination and you get an instant personalised route. Anywhere in the world. Even in Slovenia! The new version works well on Palm OS5.
