Are you addicted?
The palm Tungsten is a little slab of metal with electronics inside. It helps to organise your life and allows you to play some music and games. That would be most peoples perception of a PDA.
However, the Tungsten addict will gradually be sucked into a spiral of obsession that may be familiar to you. I will admit to the following Tungten related symptoms :-
1) I really DO have to have the most up to date version of all programs on my Tungsten. Version 2.1 is not sufficient if 2.2 is out.
2) I need my daily fix on Brighthand so that I know I haven't overlooked a really useful program.
3)If necessary, I will stay up into the small hours of the morning fixing a problem with software.
4) I take my Tungsten with me everywhere and at all times (except when I'm showering)!
5) I talk to complete strangers about the benefits of owning a Tungsten and I just love showing off its capabilities.
6) I have developed an obsession of detail ie precisely how thick is that leather case, will the palm logo at the top of my Tungsten become dull with exposure to direct sunlight?
Is this normal behaviour?
It's strange because I don't really care if my computer has the most up to date software.I don't scar the internet for new and useful computer programs.
Maybe I'm a control freak and just love to control and configure my own little world on my Tungsten.
Can you admit to any Tungsten related symptoms?
Alan Palmer (no pun intended).

Yes, I must say that I am.
I've owned several high-end Clies (nr70v, 760c) and many, many other palms. But I tell ya, this one is just the be-all-end-all of Palms. It does everything that I could want.
I love it.

You see every addict needs a fix and the Tungsten addict WILL need to upgrade to that new model. You will drool over that new device, you will go weak at the knees loading up all those programs again. Admit it , your adicted!

I was going to post a similar thread the other night, but thought I would be considered the "odd one". I find that owning a Tungsten is great, however....... My time seems to pass so quickly as I'm on this site for the latest buzz and palmgear for the latest updates more then my Doctor would recommend.
Admitting it is always the hardest step.

Alan...
Your list is hilarious! So sad...but so true, for each and every obsessive point.
I even had a nightmare in which my wife had dropped my Tungsten on concrete. I lurched awake, broken out in a cold sweat.
I'm afraid if I tally all of the costs of the peripherals and software, I'll spiral into a deep chasm of shock and depression.
But it never stops...

Yes, yes, I confess! I am a Tungstenoholic too!
The patches, the software, screen protectors, sd cards, cases and all other accessories are driving me crazy ... I stay up late to be sure I won't go to bed without the last update, I had dreams too ....
I was never reading on forums before getting my TT even though I used a PDA for years and now it is many times a day ....
There must be something lurking to get you in that small machine ... help!
Palm IIIc, m130, Tungsten T

Hey Alan,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! for making me feel normal, I'm definitely suffering from the same symtoms as you and may even be to a higher degree! I spend so much time reading brighthand and palminfocenter forums everyday that my wife thinks I am romancing some chicks on chats!
I used to have a Handspring Visor Deluxe, and with my new TT, my life is so beautifully enhanced with a world of colors, sad to admit, I think I will be devastated without my TT for a day!!!
