First they said it was going to be available around mid december, at COMDEX they told that in about two weeks, COMDEX was Nov. 22, does anyone know the exact day?
Thank You.

I can't say when, but what I do know is that when it is released you will be able to download it from either http://www.palm.com/realoneplayermobile or http://www.real.com/player/mobile.

The latest rumor is that Real has announced a "before the end of the year" release date. We only have a few days to find out of that's true.

Just a rumor (you know how a rumors goes...)
But, heard from someone who heard from a Sales staff when he was buying his T|T that it will be released on the 26th.
Bear in mind, that is a rumor. But I'm hoping for the best...

Rumors are Rumors until they get back to the source, then they are truth.
LX had some issues in coming out but hey they are a small shop, Real is no small shop and they had time and engineers to do this so no tissues for them. Just release the "FREE" product so we can get spied on already.

I don't believe it will be available before EOY since those people must be on vacation too now and that I would not know why if it is ready now that they did not release it yet (considering competition ...).
I think the bug with downsampling is the issue here and not the Player itself (others did it so fast ....).
Or, maybe it is the background playing having compatibility issues with too many applications?
My two cents.

All I can say is if its not here EOY what a bunch of SUCKS Palm are. Well they've already achieved that status by holding back software on us and from our(palm community) developers. This has been general knowledge for a short time now.
One of the things that PALM bragged about, leading up to the announcement of an OS5 device, was Media capabilities, to match Pocket PC's, well I'm sorry PALM, but this is really going to back fire on you when a magazine publisher gets space for an article, 'Remember These Words - Media Capabil........'.
Thats what you get when you 'TALK'. Sure they will come back and say' 'It does have the capability'. Well I dont think people need to talk, to work out in their own minds this is a con job.
Its a bugger being addicted to an OS that is always playing catch-up, and delayed promises.CHEERS

You're absolutely right!!!
The same thing happened with Palm's "native" Web Browser, do you remember that they said they would release it for mid 2002?
It was released with the Tungsten devices.... Yes, it is a well designed program, but it is not compatible with Palm OS 3.5 or 4, only with 4.1 and 5. What about the people who have older devices? No compatibility.... I hope PALM Inc. quit doing promises and start to fulfil the costumers needs.
Regards
