Can't transfer my photos from my T3 to the PC
Hi, I recently (a month ago) bought an used Palm Tungsten T3 from ebay.
Some days ago I transferred some photos from a friend's cellphone to my t3 via infrared. The problem now is that I cannot transfer them back to my pc, as the palm desktop software doesn't have media functionalities..
Yes, I downloaded the palm desktop from the Palm site, and as I have actually researched this problem in this forum before posting, I have discovered that the palm desktop software in the palm site does not have the media functions...
The problem is that I actually don't have the original palm cd, as the person who sold it to me only included a cd with the latest palm desktop software and T3 updates, but not the ORIGINAL palm desktop software which supposedly has the media functionalities...
Therefore, where can I find this palm desktop software with media function, and why is it that palm makes it so hard to find???
Another solution might be to be able to find a sort of file broswer for the Palm as to explore the internal memory of the Palm via the PC and then copy the photos from the palm back to the pc. A sort of Windows Explorer for Palm. Yet again I can't find one, while even my Sony ericsson P800 has this file browser software... why can't a sophisticated machine such as a palm have these basic programs? I'm pretty sure that it must have such a kind of software... If it does, what is its name, and where can I find it?
Thanks a lot!

Re: Can't transfer my photos from my T3 to the PC
If you have an SD card and a card reader, you can use a file utility e.g. Filez(freeware) to copy the photos from the T3 ram to the SD card. Using the card reader connected to your PC, the photos on the SD card can be easily copied to the PC using Window Explorer.
The above method is much faster than HotSync using Palm Desktop.
Another option is trying out some shareware which has both Palm and PC components e.g. SplashPhoto. The software will provide you with the HotSync conduit. You can try it out for 30 days free of charge.

Re: Can't transfer my photos from my T3 to the PC
SyncWizard will let you connect to and explore the Palm's internal RAM. However, if the photo files are in there I don't think they'd be directly readable on your PC as they'd be in either .prc or (most likely) .pdb format.
If you have an SD card available, I'd suggest using the built in Photos app (rather than Filez) on the T3 to move the files from internal memory to the card. This should convert them to .jpg format and put them in the DCIM folder on the card. You can then move the photos from the card either using a card reader or a program on the Palm called CardExport which turns your Palm into a card reader.

Hi,
This is Heather from Palm, Inc. writing. I read your post and wanted to welcome you to the board. I also wanted to provide a link to the Palm, Inc. support page for the T3, it includes downloads:
