Operamini on T3 full screen possible?
I just downloaded Operamini for T3 v1.2.3214 here But I can only get it to display half screen. (with the virtual grifitti area present)
I searched the forum, and found a few post, but they're all from T|C users, so they don't have that problem. Is there a way to get it to go full screen? If not, is there a differen version not intended for a T3 that will work on a T3 full screen?

Do you have the latest Java environment installed? I had this problem before I updated it. You can get it here.

Thanks for the reply grahamnind, I did in fact have the latest on java vm on my palm. That's the same page I downloaded mine from. Then I transferred opera-mini-1.2.3214-basic-us.prc via bluetooth to my pda and started it. Should I use the IBM Java and do an "install" via the web? Would that make a difference?

Hi
I just downloaded the latest Opera Mini from the link you posted. I lost full-screen support.
I checked what the file was called, and found it was 'opera-mini-1.2.3214-basic-uk.prc' , whereas my old file was 'opera-mini-1.2.2960-advanced-uk.prc'
I then checked the other versions on the Opera website, and realised what they have done is muddle the links up. The latest TC download is called 'opera-mini-1.2.3214-advanced-uk.prc' . This works in full screen on the T3!
So download the TC version, and you should be fine

I actually JUST figured that out too but I couldn't find the link to the advanced version. (or midp 2) Thank you for being brave and taking the chance. You could have lost full screen support forever! Now onto getting the advanced version on my T3.

Anyone know if this version (T3 advanced) will work on a T5?
Brain -> Casio -> Sharp -> Filofax -> Palm Pilot -> Palm Professional -> Palm IIIc -> iPAQ 4660 (oops) -> TT3 + T610 + NavMan -> TT5 + SE K700i + NavMan -> TT5 + 2Gb SD card + SE K810i + universal PDA thumb board + external mike + TomTom ONE + BlackBerry 8800

Why not ? It is a java program so the stability issues will be caused by the JAVA environment, not Opera ...
Anyhow, I tested it some time ago, I did not like it.
I went to Xiino and bought that after an extended trial period

I don't get this Xiino thing. I keep trying it, as others rave about it. I have tried each incarnation, but found:Originally posted by holvoetn

a) it crashes frequently
b) it doesn't display graphics properly
c) it's slow
Perhaps I have been unlucky with it! What do you like about it?Nostalgia isn't what it used to be

a) it does not crash
b) it displays graphics perfectly
c) its fast

Really ...
It has just one quirk which I learned to live with: it flips occassionally from right-handed to left-handed when in landscape mode. A double tap on the rotation button with my left-thumb corrects that ...
My only previous experiences are WebPro 3.1 which came with the T3. Now THAT was really a dissappointment. Talking about slow ....
And then OperaMini, it looked promising but there were some practical things which I did not like.
Obviously YMMV ...Digital since 1980, handheld since 2001

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that really annoying orientation flip. Seems to do it almost every time I load a page.Originally posted by holvoetn

Strange how people with the same model Palm can have such different experiences.
