I thought these would be pretty cool paired with my t5 or my Creative Zen MP3 player. It pairs with your cell phone AND you pda/mp3 device, and then when you get an incoming call, you can answer using the headset, which at the push of a button will PAUSE the music payback and answer. Then push the button again to end the call and then resume the music. NICE!!!! I'm buying mine now!!!

Those headphones aren't ones that Softick have tested (tested ones are: Plantronics Pulsar 590A Headset; Bluetake i-Phone BT420EX Bluetooth Hi-Fi Sports Headphone; and iPAQ Bluetooth Stereo Headphones (made by Logitech)).

I can't wait to see your review!

What Creative Zen MP3 player has bluetooth support?

I had the 1st Creative Zen and now have a Zen Sleek (GREAT MP3 player BTW, better and smaller than an Ipod.)

As far as the HT820 not being supported, i'm not too stressed about that. I'm a risk taker (and even it if doesn't i have other things they'll work with like my laptop, my mp3 player, my cell phone, my home stereo.. etc etc). As far as i'm concerned these headphones look to be the BEST on the market and i've checked the motorola site and it says they'll support any connection with A2DP, which.. this driver includes. So.. i shouldn't have any problems.

As far as the bluetooth Zen. You're right. I have the Zen Vision M which does NOT include bluetooth.. but if you check the creative website.. they sell 2 different bluetooth headsets that list the zen models compatible. they use a bluetooth dongle that attaches to the 3.5mm phone jack. My only concern is for AVRCP. (AVRCP is a protocol that allows controls on the headphones to control the mp3 unit. Things like volume and changing tracks)Which it says the Zen vision M DOES support. but thru the phone jack? It's possible. I tried to call creative tech support this morning to ask, but no answer. but i'm willing to give it a shot.

    Question Class 1? 2?

Does the Softick software make a T3 a Class 1 device? Or a Class 2?

The Motorola HT820 headset is Class 1, so I would think if Softick turns a T3 into a Class 1, then you would have a very decent range. Isn't that the way it works?

The class is determined by the hardware, so the software would not increase the range of the radio. Generally a Class 1 and a Class 2 device would result in better coverage than two Class 2 devices.

I'm now considering one of these headsets but I've yet to see one that I'll actually want to keep. Does anyone know if the major players - Etymotic, Shure, Ultimate Ears - have anything in the works? Any suggestions?
