Default battery life on tungsten e2

Is it better to let the battery run down to almost dead and then charge? or charge it every night?

IIRC, topping off is better than draining.

How does the battery life on E2 compare with the older Tungsten E? Also, I believe some of the newer palms have non-volatile memory. (When the battery drains, the sw does not reset - requiring reinstall/synce). Is the Tungsten E have this capability?

In my personal experience, the T|E will lose everything when the battery is drained. Therefore sync often and use a third-party backup application. BackupMan worked great on my T|E. The newer models, using OS 5.4, have non-volatile memory.
