Angry New E2 - No info from old M100

    Hi all

I just took delivery of a nice new TE2, upgrading from my trusty M100.

I completed all the syncing & set up process, and now find that none of the calendar, contact, to-do & memo info has made it on to the E2.
Info from other applications (such as my time sheet program) has made it, but not the Palm stuff, IYKWIM.

Is there any way of getting it there?

It's all still on the M100, BTW

    Any help would be appreciated.

Well, just try beaming the info to your T|E2, using IR.
    Ugh... What happened last night?

So I was a Palm user for 15 years out of my 16 year long life. But now I am a Blackberry Pro

    Welcome to Brighthand Queenbloss.

    When you upgraded did you:

    1) Hotsync the m100,
    2) Rename c:\palm\[your hotsync name]\backup to oldbackup or backupold,
    3) Install the new Palm Desktop,
    4) Keep the same Hotsync Name, and
    5) Hotsync and install your third party applications in subsequent hotsyncs, making sure they are listed as compatible with the new NVFS models?

If yes to all, check Hotsync Manager to see if the correct Conduits are set; you are somehow using the Legacy two-word PIMs on the m100.

If you used a new hotsync name I don't know how you installed the third party apps on the E2 unless you did some more syncs or something else I am unaware of.

If no to any of the other steps, you will have an unstable E2 due to the diferences in system files and incompatible third party applications. Re sync the m100 to repopulate the backup folder, hard reset the E2 and begin at step 2.

If you are still not getting your PIMs, let us know.

Dick Tracey, thank you - it was "no" to the above, so I followed your suggestions and all is now well :-)

Now I can go and play with my new toy
