    Default memory access

Is it possible to access palm memory files from a pc? Something like a virtual storage device, to be able to copy/paste the files directly without using hotsync button.

Yes with a T5 (everything except files in RAM and probably for a LifeDrive. I don't think any other models will allow that, but there is a program (whose name I forget) to do with file transfer that I'm sure someone else will pop up with shortly. (Generally, on Brighthand, little happens for a while and then three posters come along at the same time.)

There is no way to access items stored in RAM on a device. Using CardExport II, you can access your SD card, as though it were an external hard drive (same as if you stuck your SD card into a card reader).

Too bad... Also when I try to send some item from palm the only solution is to send it via bluetouth or via sms. There's no send it via cable option, again I have to use HotSync, thats a bit annoying don't you think?

PFB will show both RAM and SD card in an explorer type window. There are two programs, one for the Palm and one for PC. You start them both before you can connect.

I have no bench-marks, but it seems as fast as a card reader.

I have not tried this app on my LD because it has the Drive mode built in.

Thanks, excellent program, works just fine, only problem is that the files I want to access (for example some word document) are in pdb format (but saved like a native word format). When I try to use word to open them it gets a bit messy. Are there any way to convert these pdb files to word .doc?

What do you meen by 'access' the files, read, edit, copy?

Documents 2 Go can read Palm doc (pdb) then save as MS Word doc file. <at least my version can 7.006>

I mean when I run the program on the right side I get list of files from my pda. I scroll to my desired file (which i saved in native ms word - from palm offcourse), it is something like this "filename.pdb.pdb". I transfer it to my pc and it stays in that format - pdb. When I try to open it with word I get the screen with encoding to choose...

I thought when I save it in native word format (from palm) that the file will be showed with doc extension and I will copy it and open it without any problems. Am I doing something wrong?

The native saving feature for Doc to go is for ONLY use for expansion card, not internal RAM. So thats why you see the .pdb and not .doc.
