    I don't have a screen shot tool on my TE (That I know of anyway) . The icon is black and there is a Palm or something looking like it in the middle.

    We had a thunderstorm last week and I lost my connection to the LAN for a few hours. Two techies finally did some work on my computer but I wasn't around when they did it. My last HotSync was before this LAN problem. I don't beleive they logged me out to do actual work on the computer as I didn't login when I came back.

    I don't have FileZ. I can give a try to your other solution but for now, I have to find out how to start a new HotSync - It looks like the handheld can't do a connection with the computer anymore!

    I beleive I have installed all the updates rom Palm but I am not sure. Until last Monday, everything was fine! Why all of a sudden, it's not? I try Hot Sync at home tonight.

    Well I doubt I am going to be much help -- but I can't sit by and just watch Usually a problem has a simple answer and we over look it the "easy" answer.

    Are you syncing with palm desktop or Outlook? My hotsync ID at home is Curtis and I sync with palm desktop. At work, everything needs to go through out look but they use a random generated id number.     What happened to the TE? Can you turn it on now? I can't imagine why a failure to hotsync would stop your handheld from working properly.

    Your IT people may have changed something which affects how Palm software functions on your computer. You will need to have them temporarily assign you Administrator priveleges for your Windows User, reinstall Palm Desktop to your C drive while you have these priveleges and perform a sync. If everything goes well, they can restore you to your regular priveleges.

    Smile An update!

    Thanks Turtle, it look pretty much like my icon except that mine is a mirror version of yours. Do you know what this is for?

    I succesfully HotSync from home last week.

    Since I had a little bit of time today, I just removed all the PalmDesktop and related softwares and went back on Palm.com to reinstall the latest versions. Finally, I successfully HotSync on the computer.

    I still don't know what is AeXPalmDevice is but my problem seems to be solved - for now!
