clearing everything on the tungsten E

Hi everybody,

I just got a tungsten E used from a friend and all his stuff is on it, is there any way to purge all his information and basically delete him as a user on the palm? Thanks.

Perform a hard reset - hold the power button down whilst poking the reset hole in the back, wait for the first screen to clear, release the power button and then follow the on-screen instructions. This gets the palm back to factory state.

Ok, I got the hard reset done. Is there any way to initiate a sync on the computer side instead of by the palm, so I can enter all my calendar stuff and contacts via computer which is easier for me than via palm?

Do you have the Palm Desktop? You need to download it first. After installation, set up a Hotsync ID through it. After that, fill in what you want in the Calendar in Palm Desktop, then perform a Hotsync operation.
