T/C end of the line for graffiti?
I have looked at the T/C and the T/W.
I currently use a 515 and use it for everything. I like the small, light package that the 515 gives. Used the handera before that and before that various models of the III series.
I have been looking at the T/T considering buying it and wonder if the W and C are an indication that I should be buying the T sooner rather than later.
The new models are larger, heavier and incorporate the keyboard which I think is not a move forward.
What is the general feeling, are the W and the C an indication of where Palm is going - is the T basically the end of the line for the small little units that use Graffiti?
If so I should go out now, buy a T and put it in the cupboard for future use?!

First of all, having a thumboard doesn't equate to a device being big and heavy. The T|C's size is due to housing a big battery (1500mAh) and using a plastic case - plastic, because the internal WiFi antennae. And to power WiFi, you need a big battery. So, it's a catch-22. There are smaller thumboard devices like the Treo90 and TG50.
To get to your point, I don't think Graffiti will be phased out in favor of keyboards. Right now, they're intended for the business/wireless market.
If you're considering a T, consider the Zire71. It's $100 less, transflective screen, and roughly the size of an extended T. Otherwise, don't worry about evil thumboards taking over the world.

Re: T/C end of the line for graffiti?
Grafitti is done. Palm would have to pay a sizeable royalty to Xerox to continue using it. (Palm was on the down side of a patent infringement litigation(http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,1283,49316,00.html).Originally posted by toolowtwo

That being said, JOT isn't too bad, and the transition is fairly easy.
There will still be pen entry if that is your concern.

Thanks,
Those aren't real encouraging.
I guess I should plan to pick up a T, while there is stock of them.

If you download the freeware app called Graffiti Anywhere, you can use graffiti anywhere on the screen, with or without a Keyboard device..check www.freewarepalm.com for the app
