    Question Reprogramming Buttons?

    Hi,

My 755p is benefitting from all the great programs and advice I have gotten from reading this forum, but something I have not seen is how to better reprogram the hard buttons. Particularly, the Home button will not allow me to use ZLauncher as the default launcher. I can use Option-Home and get to ZLauncher, but it would be nice to reverse it, so I can use ZLauncher more easily.

Any suggestions for button control utilities?

    Cheers,
    Dan

Honestly, on the Treo I just hit the first letter of the app, and it jumps there on the launcher screen.

On my T3/TX, I used Keylaunch - freeware. You'd have to map it to one of the three other keys, I think.
You hit a combo of buttons to get to 16 main apps. I added a one app at a time so I could memorize the combo. Very quick then.

    Within Zlauncher:
    Menu > Options > General tab > Check-mark Default Launcher > OK
Current Device: Samsung Galaxy Note II - Rooted Stock ROM
Retired Device: HTC EVO Shift 4G - (Rooted) JellyBelly ROM 4.1.2
    Tablet: Kindle Fire

The school year is back in session - I'm likely to be absent from here quite a bit...

Thanks for the suggestion, but that was the first thing I had done when I installed ZLauncher. Unless there is another switch to set, that only gets to the Option-Home button.

    Cheers,

That's strange......... there's gotta be something else that's conflicting with your home button. I use ZLauncher, and (as HC has suggested), I have ZLauncher checked as the default launcher. Also, each time I use my Home button, it cycles through each of my tabs (which can be found in ZLauncher Menu > Options > General tab > Check-mark Cycle Tabs > OK)
    The faster I go, the further I get behind . . . . .

SOLVED! I had not thought to update ZLauncher and I was using v5.4 - this problem was fixed with v5.45! In short, user error.

Thank you all for the help - I figured that if you folks could do it, I could!

    Happy New Year!
