Re: What have you done with your 755p lately?
One thing I just did today in the school parking lot while waiting 10 mins. for the kids is to link my 755p to my TomTom GO 700 navigation system via Bluetooth. Now my TomTom serves as a Bluetooth handsfree system for making and receiving calls. The TomTom even copied my 755p's contacts over. The microphone and speaker on the TomTom are excellent, and I can even make calls with the radio (DVD, CD, etc.) playing, and it seems to noise-filter it quite well. You can barely hear it in the background.
This is a rarity, because nothing is ever easy with TomTom (if for no other reason than it is typically poorly documented or not documented at all). But this went well and easy.
I also have a Jabra 5010 headset coming in the mail on Friday. Here's hoping that goes as smoothly.

Re: What have you done with your 755p lately?
Today I had problems with Comcast and could not access the internet. I was able to fire up the Palm and check out what I needed while I waited for Comcast to reset the modem. Priceless.

Re: What have you done with your 755p lately?
Today on my lunch hour, I got a new Smiley Face skin for TAKEphONE, and then went back to work and showed my co-workers my Treo's new digs!
And YES, that IS very important to me!

Sssssssssshhhh! Don't "Dis" on Comcast. Hubby works for Comcast, and we get free cable and free internet. I told hubby if he ever quits or gets fired from there, we won't be able to afford both cable and internet, so we'll have to get rid of cable, cuz I can NOT do without internet, LOL! Although, I suppose using the Treo would solve that, huh?!

Re: What have you done with your 755p lately?
This is the primary reason why I upgraded to the 755p! In our brand new neighborhood, the developer signed an exclusive contract with Comcast (without telling the home buyers in this community) to provide internet, cable TV, and even phone ("Comcast Digital Voice"). The phone and internet service has been COMPLETELY unreliable, suffering 8-10 hour outtages multiple times per week! Sorry, Delpita -- I'm just reporting it like it is! No offense meant. The few people who live in this new community banded together (led by me and the wife) and complained to the developer to such a high level that they finally called someone high up at Comcast and told them they were about to cancel the exclusive contract and allow AT&T to come in. Miraculously, the system is much more reliable now...haha.
My old cell phone couldn't get a signal in this area, and neither could my wife's old Blackberry. So we ended up using this as an excuse to get the 755p and a Blackberry Pearl (my wife's work required her to get the BBP instead of the Centro like she really wanted
). Of course, now that I have this wonderful phone that gets a nice signal and can provide internet access to my PC via a USB connection. the Comcast phone and internet service has never been more reliable. The same thing happened to us when we bought a generator and a window airconditioner to use in case we got hit by a hurricane again -- they've all missed us for the past three years (which is fine by me).

I really had to find some information just then of course, and it was a really good feeling to have backup.
