PAM on vacation?
Hey gang....I'm back with a quick question. I'm on vacation right now with no internet access for my laptop. I know Sprint has the PAM plan but I only need access for a week as I have a wireless network at home. I can't dl PDAnet or anything since I have no access aside from my treo where I post this from...?
Ideas? I'd pay the PAM but I don't want it for a month...just a week.

Re: PAM on vacation?
Careful with Sprint. I was looking into moving to Sprint so I could get a better selection of updated phones and I found out from a Sprint rep that any changes to my rate plan would trigger a new 2 year commitment effective the date of the change. Ask if adding and then removing a feature like PAM will trigger a re-up. If you are at the beginning of your contract, then no big deal. But if you are 6 months away from being able to switch carriers without penalty...

Re: PAM on vacation?
Like r0K said. Ask first , but I am with Sprint and I just changed my plan recently without having to extend my plan. (Had to unlimited texting for kids.
)This is new with Sprint. It use to be that anytime you made any change to your plan you had to extend your plan for two more years. I learned that one the hard way.
They have changed that now, to keep up with the other carriers, and as long as you do not ADD a line and you only CHANGE your service you do not have to extend your plan.
But of course ask first!

You could, of course, live without the internet for a week.

Re: PAM on vacation?
The last time I was on vacation and "forgot" to unplug I was in a bit of hot water...and I don't mean the pool at high noon either.

Download PDANet to your phone's miniSD card, then transfer it to your PC via bluetooth (or card reader, if you have it). PDANet has a 15 day free trial.
