Okay, that is weird. I just called CS the other day and the guy told me it was no longer being offered.

It's really no big deal though. I text rarely if ever...although maybe I would if I had it...

You sometimes have to be persistant with Sprint. I don't use text messaging, either, but I made sure it was on my account. For one, I'd like to try it out. Also, with some carriers, if people choose to page you instead of leaving a voicemail, it's considered a text message. You should call CS again.

Isn't that the truth. Luckily for me, I've only had one bad call so far.

I'm counting my calls. I'm not going to endanger this plan or phone, that's for sure.

I don't know what the difference is between Blazer and MiniOpera or whatever it's called but the Blazer seems okay...

You won't regret it. I can't see this cutting my PC time down significantly...

As far as I'm concerned, Blazer is doing everything I need so far. OperaMini, while it can load bigger pages, also butchers web pages, and kills a lot of features on pages as well. I doubt I will ever load it on here.

I've been beaming stuff from my TE to my 755. I've still not hotsynced my 755, so it doesn't have an ID yet. I'll assign the ID once I port my number. No sense in doing that before hand.

I called and said "It looks like I'm being charged for each text message (which I was). I don't think that's supposed to be happening." (I did not tell them why. At the time of sign up, I elected for the $5 for 300 messages plan. It never got added, nor did my handset insurance.) I let them look at it, and without my saying anything further, they added unlimited for free. I'm a satisfied customer.

Just don't call too many times, as Holvy pointed out.

Also some software is delivered over the air and you get the link in a text message. I wanted to trial Pennovate Notes lite and that is how they get it to you. I would insist they give it to you. I believe it is offered until September. Try again till you get someone who will do it for you. Sprint got egg on their face pretty bad when they tried to get rid of the customers who called too much. I am not sure they will try this again. It was all over the internet and their stock even went down from it. Be cautious but my guess is they are not gonna do this anytime soon again.

Hi guys. im new here. got into this because of the upcoming FOLEO

Are you under contract for the phone under the SERO plan too?

From a new treo user standpoint, this seems to be the best deal out there. I just have reservations about it because i do want to get the Treo Linux Palm OS phone when it comes out next year.

Hardly new here, with registration date of 2002.

Yes, you are under contract with the Sprint SERO plan. Two years, or $200.

If you decide to change your phone, you lose the SERO plan, and have to switch to a regular plan. This could double your plan cost.

The SERO offer is set to expire in December '07. No idea if the offer will exist in '08 when the first Linux based Treo is set to debut.

    In my opinion: yes.

It will still be at least 6 months to a year before the first Linux powered Palm Treo comes out and you may be assured that first model will have some oddities.
