Default Treo 680 has lost Phone functions

Suddenly my Treo 680 can no longer receive or give calls or sms. I can no longer select network either. The SIM card is good as I tested it on another phone. All other PDA functions & Hot Sync work fine.

Any clue as to what happened & what to do?
    Thanks

    John

I know with a microSD card, the card can lose contact, and not be recognized. depends, of course, on how the card is seated. might the same be true for the SIM? have you tried it again in the 680 after checking it in the other phone?

    Hi Rick,

I have been using my SIM card on another phone for about a week. When I inserted it back on the Treo 680, it works again! A loose contact as you suggested.

    Thanks a lot.

excellent news! in my feature phone (again, don't know if possible to do, in your situation) I've snipped out a small rectangle of the plastic packaging crud that the SD card came in, and I slip that on top of the card, to make the connection less likely to disconnect (the card slides in, contact side down).
