Verizon Wirless in upper corner

I just did the update to version 1.03 for verizon and now the verizon wireless words that use to show in the upper left part of the screen are not there any more. Does anyone know how to get that back? Oh and is anyone else having problems using *228 with verizon its not working for me.

Remove the battery....
Count to 7.235676 cubed... just kidding. 7 will do....
Insert the battery and restart.

Thanks for the tip but that does not work. I have been on the phone with verizon for 2 days and that damn 1.03 update seemed to have messed something up. They can't figure it out and are now sending me a new phone. The *228 thing does not work anymore.
