Access to Google Maps
Hi,
I recently purchased a Treo 650 from Sprint. I am trying to access google maps but unable to due to a message stating "Active X is not enabled in your browser." When I check my preferences in my browser, Javascrpit is enabled. Can anyone provide any suggestions in setting up my handheld?
Thanks - moreb

Won't work. Google Maps checks for specific browsers and will give you an error if no match. The Javascript version is quite complex, and I guess they don't trust non-tested browsers to get it right.

GMapViewer is a beta Google Map Java App that I was able to get to work on my Treo 650. You can go to www.sreid.org/GMapViewer to try yourself. Also try google local at http://www.google.com/xhtml?site=local. I've had some good sucess visting that site on my Treo 650.
