When I turn off the unit, the screen clears and gets very bright for about a 1/4 second. Not real long or a problem, but I don't remember my other Treo 650 (which I needed to return for a different reason) doing this.

Could you simply turn off and see if yours does the same?

Mine behaves similarly, not only at the turning out, but at turning on. Whiteout, then go either dark, or the last screen.

Done. No such 'wierdness' on ours....just blanks out....

Mine is ok now. Seems to have had something to do with the memory card (used PowerRun). After I took on ZLauncher it seemed to have cleared up. Not sure how.

It no longer goes to a whiteout before closing however...

Still have same thing happening...
